Diksha Chakravarti

FixMe was created in 1998 by Diksha Chakravarti.  She had had experienced terrible lower back pain, caused by a slipped (prolapsed) disc. After 2years of mis-diagnosis and innumerable X-rays & physiotherapy sessions, she was offered surgery as the only option.  This carried with it serious side effects which Diksha could not risk as she had 2 very young children.  She resorted to alternative medicine.

After several months of trying various alternative routes, from ordinary massage and osteopathy to acupuncture and even spiritual healing, Diksha found that the combination of holistic massage and classic manipulation together on to study for 6 years, gaining a Diploma in Sports Massage, Injury Management and McTimoney Chiropractic and then practiced  for 9 years, developing and evolving this special combination to the unique 5 treatments in 1 used today.

Diksha has also experienced computer related RSI which she was able to correct using the 5 treatments in 1 approach.  She has seen a marked rise in her patient population of ‘hidden’ RSI i.e. people don’t even realise they have the beginnings of RSI. Realising the need for comprehensive preventative and management programmes in this area, Diksha trained in

Essential Ergonomics and created the unique Workstation Protocol©.  Her treatment approach takes into account workstation setup, posture, stretches and the Workstation Protocol.

As a past sufferer, Diksha can fully empathise with the burden of living with back pain or RSI.  It is ‘fixing’ problems using a comprehensive and holistic approach that drives Diksha’s passion.

She had obviously "done something" (even if I did not feel it) to my joints and bones because I left like floating on air, slept like a log and did not feel any pain!

I also found, as Diksha treats the whole body, another problem I had with my hip when walking long distances had disappeared.
