DSE Assessments

We provide DSE Assessments to help companies abide by the Health & Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 and ensure their employees are using computers that have been correctly set up in order to prevent RSI.

These Regulations need not be an internal burden to your company, but RSI could be.  Employees may take legal action if firms do not adhere to the regulation, but they will take days off for uncontrollable back pain or RSI. 

  • In June 2006 The Guardian had to pay out more than £37000 to a sub editor for work related RSI injuries.
  • Work related musculoskeletal disorders costs the UK £590 - £624 million per annum
  • In the UK 6 people each day are loosing their livelihoods to RSI

The good news is that RSI can be prevented ….easily and simply

  • Chevron Texaco reduced RSI from a staggering 40% to 25% within 4yrs by educating the workforce and putting sensible IT facilities in place.
  • BP have produced a dvd entitled ‘Are you sitting comfortably’ to help prevent RSI in the workplace.
  • Glaxo Smith Kline have received an award by the European Union for their campaign against RSI.
